At about half past one on Friday afternoon Seedy and Lynda arrive at the generator ready for a weekend of partying. Already there waiting on the steps is Belgian_Ant. After saying "hi" to her Seedy wonders aloud when Ant_DJ and Ant_Lady would arrive.... and just as I was saying that they walked round the corner!!! We then get on the phone to discover that Sparky and Cartrouble are around somewhere. Not sure exactly where due to the fact that Seedy can only understand one in every 10 words that Sparky says.... But they turn up about 10 minutes later and the gang is nearly assembled.
Two o'clock arrives and we head into the hotel to check in. After causing chaos in the hotel lobby for a good ten minutes while having a "debate" with the receptionists about when we should pay Seedy finally bluffs them into letting us pay the next day. Our glorious leader Mazant hasn't made it yet so Seedy hands out the room allocations rather randomly, and we all head upstairs to have the usual struggle with the code locks on the doors...
Bags dumped, we head back downstairs and after another lengthy debate over room allocations, what to do and where to get food we finally come to a decision. Carty and Sparky head off to Camden and the rest of us go to an Italian for some grub, now joined by Formi. We also meet up with a group of Dutch Ants who Ant_Lady met on the plane on the way over. We arrange to meet them back at the hotel at six so they can come with those of us going on the Jack The Ripper tour.
Food dealt with, and for some of us the drinking started, we head off to Camden ourselves to meet the others. We spend a while checking out the shops of Camden, where Carty is persuaded to purchase a spanky pair of PVC trousers and Seedy gets a Viva Le Rock t-shirt. Just as we are getting ready to head back to the hotel we bump into Nancy and Miss Thing, which inevitably involves a trip to the nearest pub.
Six o'clock is rapidly approaching, so those of us doing the ghost walk head back leaving the others in the pub.
